Our Chardonnay was hand-harvested early in the morning from late September into early October 2022. This wine was whole cluster pressed, followed by cold settling in stainless tanks before going to barrel for fermentation. The slow fermentation in barrel allowed for exuberant tropical & citrus aromas, in addition to offering a compelling texture across the palate. Post fermentation sur lie stirring and aging added additional layers of complexity in our winemaking process. Aged 14 months in French Oak.  

The 2022 Skywalker Chardonnay showcases the unique coastal climate and Marin County terroir. Generous fruit aromas of lemon, lychee and white flower blossom are accentuated by delicate sweet oak nuances and a briny minerality. On first taste flavors of pineapple, pomelo and citrus are present. The palate is crisp on entry followed by richer flavors of hazelnut, brioche and crème brûlée leading way to a long finish.

The 2021 Skywalker Vineyards Sommità Chardonnay is an unoaked wine that captures the bright, fresh fruit flavors of Marin County Chardonnay. You notice the aromatics of pineapple and apricot on your initial pass. The flavors of green apple and citrus come out with your first taste. The finish has a clean minerality that is also crisp and refreshing. Sommità Chardonnay is planted at a 950-foot elevation on the Summit of the Skywalker Ranch property.

In 1784 the Bastide was built using true Provencal methods.  Based on plot selections, this exclusive cuvee reveals the richness of the Château Margüi terroir in its most noble expression.

Rolle 100%

The 2021 Blanc features a grape called Rolle which Château Margüi has championed in the region. You may recognize Rolle by another name, Vermentino. This wine elegantly walks the line between freshness and richness in its expression. The bouquet of gentle honeysuckle on a sunny afternoon welcomes you to taste the richness of this wine.  Pineapple, orange blossoms, and vanilla provide a complex backdrop.  Enjoy with oysters on the half shell, fritto misto, or during a New England Lobster Bake.

Nose of white cherries and vine peaches, punctuated by light floral touches of honeysuckle. Dry in profile, it is smooth and silky on the palate, with a polished texture. The acidity is juicy, offering a sensation of freshness characteristic of a cool terroir. Elegant with chewy and zesty notes. The finish of white peach and flowers makes it refreshing with a nice aromatic persistence.

Lungolago says it all with its name- this is the lake wine. Influenced by the terroirs and meso-climate of iconic Lake Trasimeno, this wine displays nerve and complexity often missing from lesser Chardonnays. The blend addition of Grechetto works in harmony to take this wine to the next level both in complexity, texture, and finesse. This wine resonates with the aromas of daphne and tropical fruits.  Perfect for a sunny day, this medium-bodied white wine offers structure and layers of complexity.  Rich with a harmony of flavors of dried Turkish apricots, pineapple, melon, and almond – with just a hint of butterscotch – the Lungolago has an alluring charm.  Pair with scallops on creamed corn with jalapeno peppers, black truffle salami, or avocado toast point appetizers.  This wine also offers a home-like comfort and is a perfect accompaniment to roasted turkey.
