The 2014 Skywalker Pinot Noir is immediately present in the glass with its deep ruby color and brazen aromas of fading roses, wild berries and dark cola spice. On the palate the wine appears tightly wound with firm acidity and bright mineral tones but yields to a dense core of ripe red and blue fruits, spice and a lasting finish of warm pastry and vanilla from the extended barrel aging in French oak barrels. Of note is that this is the first release of a Pinot Noir made in the new winery at Skywalker Vineyards.
Deep crimson and ruby hues compliment aromas of rose petal and essence of red fruit such as strawberry and cranberry. Upon tasting, the round, supple body fills the palate with expressions of spice, tobacco, and forest floor. Leading to a soft and elegant finish, this wine complements well with a savory mushroom truffle risotto or wild salmon.
This 2015 Vin Rouge comes to us from our estate winery in the heart of Provence, France. Its dark color reveals garnet shades with Bordeaux hues. Intense nose of dried fruits that opens to fig coated with sweet spices, vanilla, star anise and bitter chocolate. The ample, supple and well-balanced palate reveals a structured and powerful wine with silky tannins. Great aromatic persistence in a cherry, spice and cocoa finish. This red wine, a blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, will go magnificently with your favorite beef filet.
Syrah 66%, Cabernet Sauvignon 34%

The 2013 Skywalker Pinot Noir starts with a saturated, deep ruby color suggesting a ripe vintage for Marin County. The aromas are classic Skywalker: dried rose petals, potpourri, cranberry and allspice, but with an undertone of crushed earth and mineral. The palate expands in waves, starting focused and taut, expanding with time into flavors of spice, wild berry, dried flowers and red fruits. The finish is long and light on the palate, a telltale sign of an age worthy Pinot Noir.
The harvest season of 2013 will be remembered for its gentle temperament of bountiful blue skies and mild temperatures. We now know that we were experiencing the second year of extremely dry conditions in Northern California. Considered a classic vintage with respect to all varieties on the estate, the Pinot Noir reached ideal ripeness without threat of rain or damaging conditions, harvesting in late September.
