The 2018 Skywalker Pinot Noir is immediately present in the glass with its deep ruby color and brazen aromas of fading roses, wild berries and dark cola spice. On the palate the wine appears tightly wound with firm acidity and bright mineral tones but yields to a dense core of ripe red and blue fruits, spice and a lasting finish of warm pastry and vanilla from the extended barrel aging in French oak barrels. A signature wine in the Skywalker Vineyards portfolio!

Our 2018 Sommità Pinot Noir displays an immediate sense of the finer terroirs of Marin; cool summers, afternoon winds, and the ever-present morning fog. Fermented in small lots, each parcel for Sommità is chosen for its vibrancy and transparency. Aromatically, Sommità Pinot Noir offers bright tones of dried savory herbs and rose petal in a unique expression of the Skywalker property. On the palate, lively red fruits of cherry and cranberry mix with dark, woodsy tones of allspice and cedar. Highlighted by vineyard blocks that run across the upper-most ridge line of the estate, the palate offers a joyous sense of ripeness, pleasure, and harmony.
