Il Convento del Viandante del Cielo — former monastery of the Minor Capuchin Friars, first established in 1566 — is located in Passignano sul Trasimeno in the vicinity of Umbria known as the home of St. Francis of Assisi. The 60-acre estate stands today as it has for more than four centuries, perched on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Today the Estate has been fully restored with an impressive array of modern amenities and state-of- the-art facilities, including a new winery on property producing wines with varietals that were historically planted hundreds of years ago.
