2023 Skywalker Pinot Noir

 The 2023 Skywalker Pinot Noir vintage was one borne of patience, as the grapes ripened slowly through the summer due to cool days and nights. The long growing season provided the perfect recipe for slow sugar and complex flavor development.

Hand harvested early in the morning over 12 days in October 2023, this vintage has generous aromas of red and dark berries including, strawberry, cherry and raspberry, followed by hints of blackcurrant and mushroom. The fresh fruitfulness is complemented by complex oak, and cooking spices, vanilla, anise and clove.

On first taste, flavors of cherry and raspberry and currant burst out of the glass, followed by nuances of sage, lavender and white pepper. The palate has fine tannins and a balanced acidity leading to a long lingering finish.
