Rich aromatics of pipe tobacco, dried plum, espresso and dark cocoa powder, this wine wields power immediately out of the bottle. Savory notes of beef jerky, warm cedar, and cigar further propel the ripe fruit on the nose. On the palate black cherry, prunes, and redwood bark captivate the senses. Structurally, this wine is a piece of art in how the rich tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot compliment the French oak aging with such grace.
