Bastide de Margüi 17842023 RougeProvence, France Estate
Built in 1784 using traditional Provençal methods, the Bastide embodies the heritage of Château Margüi. Crafted from select plots, this exclusive cuvée reveals the richness of the estate’s terroir in its most refined expression. The 2023 Bastide de Margüi “1784” Rouge brings together Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon with exceptional concentration, balance, and depth. Syrah leads with savory notes of licorice, roasted coffee, dried sage, and lavender, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds layers of dark berry, cedar, plum, and black cherry. Supple on the finish, with gentle tannins, the wine is poised, harmonious, and refined. An excellent pairing with grilled duck breast with pomegranate-chipotle sauce, spicy pineapple teriyaki lamb chops, or a hearty charcuterie with Toulouse sausages.
